A immersive virtual super garden that captures our perceptions of self and reimagines them as flowers in augmented reality.
The app invited users to join a digital community of growers, celebrating both individuality and the collective self. By answering 12 questions, users generated a unique digital seed, which they could plant and watch grow into a one-of-a-kind flower using augmented reality and geolocation. Our system enabled the creation of nearly a million animated flowers, each with distinct colours, shapes, and movements. Users could cultivate personal gardens, explore a shared virtual super garden, and cross-pollinate to create new flower varieties.
